The Story Behind the
AWARD WINNING AUTHOR
“Words. Stories. Impact.”

DANIEL L. FRENCH
He later joined the Washington Health Care Association, where his writing career flourished. Dan created a wide range of materials — magazines, newsletters, brochures, and pamphlets — often enriched with his own stories, editorials, and reflections. Eventually, he became the owner of several assisted living facilities, drawing inspiration from his experiences to write poetry and short stories. Channels of Delight is a culmination of these reflections, offering readers a heartfelt collection of life’s moments through Dan’s unique lens.
Dan French was born in Bluefield, West Virginia, and spent much of his youth in the Appalachian Mountains. After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller, including a year stationed in Vietnam. Following his military service, Dan worked with the Federal Aviation Administration, earned three college degrees, and went on to teach Speech at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington.
